Counselling Service Project Blueprint: Twenty10 wishes to increase the capacity of its counselling team to better support young people of diverse genders, sexes and sexualities.

The need we have identified...

Client data of Twenty10 shows that of those accessing drop-in services, 87% presented with mental health and counselling related concerns, yet of these, only 50% were currently engaged with mental health services.

General research shows that the experience of discrimination leads to increased mental health risks for our target population.

The plan we have...

Twenty10 has self funded a Counsellor position since 2006 from donations and fundraising.

We would like to increase our capacity by establishing a Counselling Team, with a Clinical Psychologist and Psychologists/Counsellors with a range of specialisations.

How you can help...

Make a donation right now or join our Giving Program, with a monthly donation.

$95 provides a one-hour counselling session for a young person

$1 000 creates a set of tip sheets on relevant mental health issues

$60 000 employs a Counsellor

$90 000 employs a Clinical Psychologist

Write to your local member of Parliament and ask them to support a specialised mental health program for young people of diverse genders and sexualities.

The vision we are working towards...

The services that we provide for young people, their families and our community are continually strengthened through innovation and in reach.

Young people access and receive the support they need at the earliest moment.

Twenty10 contributes to public health policy through research related to our Counselling Service.
