Theatre Express is on again!!
Theatre Express is a theatre project run by Twenty10 and Company B. It's a chance to have fun, make friends, be creative and share your story!
The last two years have been awesome and participants have had heaps of fun and learnt a lot about acting, working together, being creative and using their imaginations! If you missed out, or would like to give it another go, here's your chance!
What will it involve?
A series of workshops, over about 12-14 weeks, will provide a fun and safe introduction to performing. First, you'll get to play games, learn to improvise and create stories and characters. The workshops will also introduce you to elements of performance such as voice and movement.
You'll then start work on creating your own piece of theatre for performance which you'll have the chance to perform in the Downstairs Theatre at Belvoir St Theatre!
What's Company B?
Company B, which has its home at Belvoir St Theatre in Surry Hills, is one of Australia's most famous and respected theatre companies. Over the years, actors such as Geoffrey Rush, Cate Blanchett, Richard Roxburgh and Deb Mailman have performed on stage at the Belvoir St Theatre.
Company B's Youth Express Program gives young people the chance to see shows at Belvoir St Theatre and participate in drama workshops.

The Project will start on Monday the 1st of August with weekly workshops until the final performance on the 21st of November.
When: Monday evenings 6-8pm (please arrive at 5:45 so we can start on time)
Where: Twenty10, 45 Bedford St, Newtown
