This Is Oz

This Is Oz is a web based art installation where you can take a photo of yourself, your class mates, your family (whoever!) making a statement against homophobia. It is great to flick through all the photos and look at the diversity of signs and faces and the celebrities who have added their picture to the campaign.

Challenging Homophobia resources by Daniel Witthaus

Two books by Daniel Witthaus available from Hawker Brownlow Education. Daniel Witthaus is currently on a national tour. You can visit his website here.

Beyond "That's so gay!" provides an effective guide to changing classrooms. Rather than feeling overwhelmed by the rampant educational reality of homophobia, you will benefit from learning ways to challenge homophobic behaviours in young people and adults and what happens in classrooms and staffrooms when sexual diversity is affirmed and homophobia is challenged.

Pride & Prejudice is a school-based program designed to facilitate change in students' attitudes towards gay men and lesbians. The six-week program is interactive, engaging and challenging, giving students an avenue to discuss various socially sensitive issues. The companion DVD introduces students to gay and lesbian young people who talk openly about their real life experiences.
