Twenty10 is celebrating 40 years!

Our organisation, Twenty10 incorporating the Gay and Lesbian Counselling Service of NSW has a collective history of working to support LGBTIQA+ communities in New South Wales for over 90 years, and we have some birthdays coming up!  In 2023, Phone-a-Friend, part of CAMP which later became GLCS NSW will turn 50, but it’s the younger sibling Twenty10 a youth crisis refuge created in Darlinghurst and named after its postcode 2010, that is celebrating 40 years of service this year. Happy birthday to us!

To honour our rich history as a volunteer founded and community controlled organisation – and to celebrate all the contributions made – we are launching an archive project, that will help us celebrate on Twenty10 Day this year (October 20), and we would love to hear from you.

Have you; worked or volunteered with Twenty10, maybe you were a Board member, helped fundraise for us, worked on an event with us – or maybe you were in our housing, or accessed our services and you would be happy to share your story – we would LOVE to hear from you. If you have a story, a flyer, a t-shirt, a memory, a photograph or an experience – please get in touch. Fill out this short form and we will get back to you in March when we start.

We will also be at Fair Day this year, and would love for you to come and say hello if you have been part of the incredible work, history, story, family that is Twenty10! We are up in Zone 10 near the University – near the entrance to the food stalls.
