Mardi Gras 2019

Respect, Resilience, Regenerate

Mardi Gras at Twenty10 is going big! In partnership with Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and designers Doodad + Fandango, this year’s float embodies our theme: Respect, Resilience, Regenerate.

The Three Rs

The overarching theme for this year’s Mardi Gras parade is Fearless. Our theme brings together some concepts that make us feel fearless!

Respect: When you have the respect of your friends, your family, and your community, it feels like nothing can keep you down. We respect each other’s bodies, identities and relationships.

Resilience: Being able to stand strong in the face of adversity is powerful! We build resilience in ourselves and in each other through our ecosystem of communities, programs and people.

Regenerate: When we give ourselves time to celebrate and rest, we regenerate our energy and our ability to make a difference in the world. That makes us even more fearless!

Fair Day

Fair Day is an opportunity for Twenty10 to connect with members of all our communities! If you’re coming on the day, we’d love for you to stop by.

Come join us for a cool space to hang out, free temporary tattoos of unicorns and rainbows, merch for sale (EFTPOS/credit card facilities available, accepting most cards) and information about all our programs and events.

We’ll be located near the food area, with the closest entry point at Cleveland St and City Rd.
